Woman Fined $1.5 Million For Illegal Downloads

A Minnesota mom has been fined $1.5 million for the illegal download and sharing of  24 songs from the illegal download site Kazaa in 2006. In her third trial a jury has awarded Capitol Records the money, which the company says it has no plans to try to recover. They are pleased with the penalty, hoping it will serve as a deterrent. If that was me, I would keep appealing, then maybe she won't have the time to download any more music.
